I was thinking of this for a bit, and also asked someone associated with the JEP (seems it was meant so that we highlighting the embedded expressions as expressions - which we do, and also the braces in a different way, which we don't). I think I would like to try with this as it is, and see how that works. We can adjust if/as needed. Please let me know if there are any objections.
