And I think I just solved it while gathering info for the bug report. The version I'm running is x86_64, so it is running under emulation. After digging around, we were provided with the [Codelerity / Gj IT packages](https://www.codelerity.com/netbeans/) installation package for x86_64, instead of the Apache-provided PKG file. After installing the PKG file version, it is reporting it is running under arm64, and the visual lag is gone. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
