there might be ways to improve this if there is a missing cancel check somewhere, but there is no good defense against bad regexps. There is a reason why they are such popular entry point for DOS attacks. If your regexp matches against the whole file it won't stop until the file is processed - this won't be a problem for most expressions as long they are somewhat efficient since a single file is typically processed in much less than a second. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
