### Apache NetBeans version Apache NetBeans 25 ### What happened When attempting to use Ctrl+V in NetBeans—either to paste content from an external application into NetBeans or from NetBeans into another program—the paste operation does not work. However, copying and pasting within NetBeans functions correctly. ### Language / Project Type / NetBeans Component Netbeans Interface ### How to reproduce Try copying content from outside of NetBeans and pasting it into NetBeans, and vice versa. Note: It may work the first time, but subsequent attempts often fail. ### Did this work correctly in an earlier version? No / Don't know ### Operating System Windows ### JDK Not related to the JDK ### Apache NetBeans packaging Apache NetBeans provided installer ### Anything else SOLUTION: I discovered that **deleting the CTRL+C and CTRL+V entries from the keyboard shortcuts** in the NetBeans IDE restores the standard copy and paste functionality using those keys on Windows installations. In the Keyboard Shortcuts settings, these are typically listed as Alternative shortcuts: CTRL+C and CTRL+V. I recommend testing this solution on a broader scale.
