Either I used wrong English, or I don't understand your argument. I have just changed the first sentence in description to "Can we fix #8474 for NetBeans 26?". Is it better? If not, then please explain your reasoning why "we" (who's we?) "don't fix" (why) issues? My **simple reasoning** is: the `NullPointerException` is a bug that will affect NetBeans 26 Maven artifacts. Can we fix it, please? Personally I see no reason why **not to include this fix** into NetBeans 26, if there is going to be another round of fixes integration (which roughly means in my understanding another RC is created). > That point was raised before you merged #8474 > If there was an argument for inclusion in 26 it really needed to happen before that merge. Explain why! I am making that argument (requesting integration into NetBeans 26) now and whatever happened in #8474 has *no influence* on validity of my argument! On a personal note: Neil, I see you don't go along with Martin and his decisions. Please leave me out of your fight! Such organization antipathies have no impact on technical merit of this PR.
