GitHub user negora edited a discussion: How to customize colors in TextMate
languages?

Hi:

I'm trying to customize the colors of some elements in TextMate languages, but
I've not succeeded. I've tried with TypeScript files (which use a built-in TM
grammar file, I guess) and Kotlin files (which, in my case, use an external TM
file, taken from the Visual Studio Code plug-in).

What I'm doing is simply this:

1. Go to *Tools* -> *Fonts & Colors* -> *Language: TextMate Languages*.
2. Choose a *Category*. For example, a very basic one such as `keyword`.
3. Set a foreground.

But the change doesn't reflect on the editor. Even after restarting the IDE. Am
I doing something wrong?

Thank you.
