Your best chance is to copy the components you need from the R15.12 branch.
It's the last branch w/o too much significative changes (from R13.07) and with
still a lot of bug fixes backported. The trunk and R16.11 branch contain a lot
of changes, notably in files paths, but not only.
For licensing reasons, you will also need to copy, from the R15.12 branch, the
2 missing files (LICENSE NOTICE) at the root of the specialpuporse. And to
modify the build.xml and component-load.xml files in order to build and run the
components you want.
Actually you could also start by using the R15.12 branch but your users might
not appreciate as it's not officially released. It though certainly superior
from a technical perspective, but again, not package delivered, only the
Sbuversion repository...
