Personally, I think it would be useful to enhance the field length.
But I don't decide, the community decides. I just think that it needs
discussion and/or agreement from other community members before this change
should be applied to the code base.
I neither have the time nor the mood to fight nitpicky fights. If this change
gets approval from the community, I'm happy to commit your changes to the code
base. It's up to you to get this approval.
