While my preference would be to have only the English version because it is the
official language of the project and because it is already challenging to
maintain the English website, I understand that it would be desirable to offer
the site in other languages.
Since it seems that we have enough French committers and contributors willing
to help with the translation, I think we could accept the French translation of
the website.
However, if we go into this direction, for me it is important that this is
treated like an experiment to prove that there are enough French
committers/contributors that will constantly review the English version and
provide the translation within an acceptable time (i.e. max few days) since the
change; if this will not happen we should remove the translation.
It is also important to me that the French version is just a perfect
translation of the original content and doesn't introduce French specific
content (that would be difficult to review for most of the committers and PMC
members).
