I have backported only to R18 because it was (more than, risky) tedious to do
in R17. BTW I'll start a discussion in dev ML about that. R18 is already more
than 1 year old. I believe we should switch to it and left R17 behind us, as
the old, no longer supported version. I always have trouble when backporting to
it!
