Rather then requiring people to type in the products model number and other
specifications, what if when the user knew the asin of the product, when
created a product, he could just type in the asin, and ofbiz would fetch the
product name, model number, etc from a amazon lookup?
It seems like this would save a ton of data entry, and help the end user
significantly
A possible issue I see is:
Depending on how the person is going to use the information, I don't know the
legal (copyright) status of going further and downloading pictures, the product
description, etc. If there are legal/copyright issues, then perhaps tag all
downloaded information as having come from a amazon download. This would allow
certain content from being blocked from being redistributed on your own
customer web site, but would still allow you to import the product info from
the ASIN for products that *you* buy.
