Most other repos, we prefer to just have a pekkoVersion which means we control exactly which snapshot (or release) to use. Actually another repo has it as well, i.e. see https://github.com/apache/incubator-pekko-persistence-dynamodb/blob/main/project/PekkoDependency.scala . I am not against removing it but I would like to get feedback from either @jrudolph or @raboof on the ramifications of it. I get the impression that they were actually planning to slowly integrated this code for dealing with snapshots into all of the modules but because of engineering capacity they only managed pekko-http/pekko-persistence-dynamodb -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
