Instead of using lazy val/boolean another solution would be something like
this:

private var tagViewsReconciliation: Option[Reconciliation] = None
private def getTagViewsReconciliation: Reconciliation =
tagViewsReconciliation.getOrElse {
val r = new Reconciliation(
system,
new ReconciliationSettings(
system.settings.config.getConfig(pluginLocation + ".reconciler")
)
)
tagViewsReconciliation = Some(r)
r
}
....
def close(): Unit =
tagViewsReconciliation.foreach(_.close())
```
