I can't guarantee any release time lines. ASF requires us to have at least 3 PMC members review releases. We are struggling to get that this month. I would appreciate if you continue to help us to get this merged but if you urgently need a solution for your production use case, you should consider using a service meshes or an L7 load balancers and many of these would let you implement a max connection age.
