Akka Projection 1.5.0 (now Apache 2.0 licensed after its 2026-10-25 change date) added snapshots as a starting point for projections: - akka/akka-projection#929 - feat: Snapshots as starting point (`EventSourcedProvider.eventsBySlicesStartingFromSnapshots`, gRPC `EventProducerSource.withStartingFromSnapshots`) - akka/akka-projection#933 - feat: Snapshot as starting point for replay (gRPC producer) - akka/akka-projection#1047 - feat: Local projections starting from snapshots (R2DBC offset store + end-to-end test) The query API (`EventsBySliceStartingFromSnapshotsQuery`) is in Pekko core 2.0.0-M4, so the provider and gRPC parts (#929, #933) can be ported now.
