Head commit for run: d6152fc1325406aa28f699ec42807832cc1b9ed4 / Domantas Petrauskas <[email protected]> core: test database timestamps around daylight saving time changes Motivation: When the database session converts timestamps with the server time zone, the instants in the local hour that is repeated when daylight saving time ends can't be told apart, and with r2dbc-mysql timestamps are shifted when the server time zone name is not a Java zone id. CI runs the databases in UTC or in zones without daylight saving time, so this is not covered. Modification: Add DbTimestampDstSpec, which stores and reads events with timestamps before and after the next fall-back transition of America/New_York, and checks the instants stored by MySQL and MariaDB servers. It fails if the zone doesn't observe daylight saving time anymore, or if the database server doesn't run in that zone. Run the MariaDB container in America/New_York. The spec is pending for MySQL until #533 is fixed. Result: CI verifies that timestamps around daylight saving time changes are stored and read correctly. Tests: - sbt -Dpekko.persistence.r2dbc.dialect=mariadb test (MariaDB 12.3.3 in America/New_York) - 319 passed - DbTimestampDstSpec with the postgres and h2 dialects - passed - DbTimestampDstSpec with the mysql dialect and the spec not pending (MySQL 9.5.0 in America/New_York) - failed, stored instants shifted by 7 hours - DbTimestampDstSpec with a MariaDB server in UTC - failed, the server must run in America/New_York - sbt +core/Test/compile +headerCheckAll - success References: Refs #533 Report URL: https://github.com/apache/pekko-persistence-r2dbc/actions/runs/40503925232 With regards, GitHub Actions via GitBox --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
