I noticed there's a second PR(#39081) related to BLOB. I originally created the issue only for op_seek_blob, but the author of the second PR decided to go with a full implementation. So now we have two PRs for the same issue, and I'm not sure what the right way to proceed is. My original plan was as follows: first, my PR with Firebird error handling gets merged, then I extend it with error handling for BLOB and move it out of draft. But since the second PR appeared, I decided to mark mine as ready for review earlier so it wouldn't get lost.
