Hi @makssent, I reproduced the null `authData` failure through the CONNECT → ATTACH path on master (`ab8624a369da`). The CONNECT handler sends an accept packet when the first client plugin differs from the configured user plugin, but it has not initialized the authentication data needed by ATTACH. I have a local fix that rejects this mismatch for SRP authentication during CONNECT and uses the existing dialect exception mapping to return `isc_login_error`. It preserves legacy plugin switching and the existing `isc_login` mapping for invalid credentials, and leaves CONT_AUTH negotiation to #39936. The regression tests and both affected module test suites pass locally. Would this narrow scope fit the intended behavior?
