I am thinking this new dashboard is an attachment, which provide the additional sidecar's metrics What I mean is to leverage telemetry v2 metrics from istio pilot. I knew this PR focus on envoy raw metrics. But if we name the dashboard "istio data plane", the users with Istio mesh background will ask us how to get mesh service relationship metrics, just like istio control plane telemetry add-ons. Our solution is to persuade them to opt for ALS-based mesh relationship analysis instead of telemetry v2, or support the latter in the future?
