If ECharts GL provide the same features as DeckGL, then maybe we should invest in migrating to ECharts GL instead of improving the DeckGL plugin. I don't know but I think this investigation is kind of a prerequisite before we decide to revamp the legacy plugin. The question we should ask is: Does ECharts supports our GL requirements with their charts? If yes, let's migrate.
