It sounds like you had your development environment in place, and then you merged in a lot of newer changes from the master branch and now docker compose isn't working? Unfortunately that doesn't surprise me, the workflow/setup has changed a lot on master in the last year. E.g. now Python packages are installed into a virtual environment with uv pip. It may be worth getting your setup working on the current master branch.
