You can use role permissions, which can be found under the Settings dropdown and then the ROLE settings. I didn’t find any documentation about them, but their names are mostly self-explanatory. One thing to note: If you want to embed a dashboard or chart, be prepared for a 403 Error without a clear explanation. One possible reason is that the ROLE used for access/embedding doesn’t have the necessary permissions, such as API read access. In other words, you may need to grant all relevant permissions related to the dashboard but miss one not that obvious.
