   ### Bug description
   
   When `SQLLAB_BACKEND_PERSISTENCE: True` (the default setting) is enabled, 
SQL Lab fails with error "'dict' object has no attribute 'set'" preventing any 
SQL Lab functionality. Setting to `False` resolves the issue but loses backend 
persistence features.
