<!-- Answer --> APP_ICON is no longer used for logo customization in Superset v5 and later, including 6.0.0rc1. To set a custom logo, you should use the theme configuration variables THEME_DEFAULT and THEME_DARK in your superset_config.py, setting brandLogoUrl to your image path. This is now the recommended and supported method for logo branding, and APP_ICON is effectively deprecated and ignored by the frontend. Future logo changes will require updating these theme variables, not APP_ICON.
