GitHub user renaldy-dentaled created a discussion: Native Filter (Preselect and
Hidden)

### Question
I’m planning to update from using **Filter Box** to **Native Filters** in
Superset.

 />

The main things stopping me right now are:
1. **Hiding a filter** – e.g., in my case I want to hide the `practice_id`
filter.
2. **Preselecting a filter value** – I used to be able to do this with the
Filter Box, but I haven’t found a straightforward way with Native Filters.

For context: my main usage of Superset is **embedding dashboards into another
website**, so controlling filters invisibly or setting defaults is important.

Is there a recommended approach (or upcoming feature) for:
- Hiding filters in Native Filters?
- Preselecting filter values when embedding?
