When you update a dataset’s database association via the API, Superset starts querying the new database/schema for all related charts—so if the new DB user doesn’t have access, you’ll see permission errors like this. To resolve it, check that the user in your Superset database connection string has the necessary privileges on the new schema and tables. Also, make sure the tables and columns referenced by your charts actually exist in the new database. If you’re using Superset’s RBAC, confirm your roles have the right datasource_access, database_access, and schema_access permissions for the new database/schema/dataset as well.
