I encountered a similar issue, and using `superset init` did not solve it. I am using a MySQL database, and after changing the database's `COLLATE` from `utf8mb4_general_ci` to `utf8mb4_bin`, the issue was resolved. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
