I'm not going to close this, yet...there is something weird going on, _but_ I was able to re-create my expressions from scratch and they worked. I suspect the underlying issue here is that a column's configuration sometimes becomes corrupted (not sure now) and then that column can not be healed. However, it can be re-created from scratch. Here, I have 2 sets of identical columns, each with same number formatting applied.
