I don't think we want to keep this open as an Issue, since it's not specifically a bug. That said, totally agree with the issue. Would you want to take that on? I'm assuming that upon adding it, things would go haywire, and that PR would be REALLY hard to get merged. If there's a way to isolate it to certain files, and increase the scope of things, that may make more sense for an incremental adoption of the proposal.
