### Bug description When entering the empty state of SQL lab, if a user attempts to select a DB/Schema/Table, it does not populate. This is resolved if the user clicks the button to add a SQL Lab query tab, but the need to do so is unclear. I would suggest that either the empty state automatically creates a Tab when entering the view OR selecting the data source automatically creates one if/when needed. ### Screenshots/recordings <img width="3456" height="1804" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/fb7fc072-f81c-4613-82da-fc9149300ee1" /> ### Superset version master / latest-dev ### Python version 3.9 ### Node version 16 ### Browser Chrome ### Additional context I admit, it's _kind of_ a feature request, but the confusion folks are experiencing when the UI doesn't _do anything_ makes it feel more like a bug. ### Checklist - [x] I have searched Superset docs and Slack and didn't find a solution to my problem. - [x] I have searched the GitHub issue tracker and didn't find a similar bug report. - [ ] I have checked Superset's logs for errors and if I found a relevant Python stacktrace, I included it here as text in the "additional context" section. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
