   ### Bug description

When entering the empty state of SQL lab, if a user attempts to select a
DB/Schema/Table, it does not populate.

This is resolved if the user clicks the button to add a SQL Lab query tab,
but the need to do so is unclear.

I would suggest that either the empty state automatically creates a Tab when
entering the view OR selecting the data source automatically creates one
if/when needed.

   ### Superset version

   master / latest-dev

   ### Python version

   3.9

   ### Node version

   ### Browser

   ### Additional context

I admit, it's _kind of_ a feature request, but the confusion folks are
experiencing when the UI doesn't _do anything_ makes it feel more like a bug.

Python stacktrace, I included it here as text in the "additional context"
section.
