@betodealmeida confirmed this is a bug and was going to take a look, but it's gone quiet since, quite some time ago. Tempted to close as stale, but multiple users (SQL Server and Postgres) report that catalog-qualified queries like db.schema.table fail even with the matching schema-access permission, post-SIP-95. Could we revisit the permission check for catalog-qualified table refs? Is anyone even facing this in 6.x?
