Rebased this onto current `master`. Heads up, the `setOption` block your
change lived in got refactored away, so I moved `aria: { enabled: true }` into
the new theme-merge pipeline as a base default. Same effect, just lives
elsewhere now, mind giving it a sanity check? Thanks!
