Rebased onto latest master and force-pushed to get a fresh CI run. The two checks that were red on the previous run were both unrelated to this change: `playwright-tests` failed on a Docker image pull that timed out on the runner, and `unit-tests` failed on a flaky MCP service test (`user_can_view_data_model_metadata`) whose patch target resolves differently depending on test collection order, so it passes on some shards and fails on others in the same run. Neither touches the dashboard refresh code in this PR. The rebase is content-identical to the previous head, just moved onto current master.
