The PUT endpoint at `/api/v1/databases/<database_id>` does **not** test the connection on update [[2]](https://github.com/apache/superset/blob/829e4d92d91ceae4b43b1ed3b063ffe45377799c/superset/commands/database/update.py), so you can disable "Expose database in SQL Lab" even with Druid unreachable: ```bash curl -X PUT \ "http://<superset-host>/api/v1/database/<database_id>" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer <your_token>" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"expose_in_sqllab": false}' ``` You can find the database ID in the URL when navigating to that database's edit page in the UI (e.g., `/databaseview/edit/<id>`).
