GitHub user SamuelGeron created a discussion: Highlight mode: emphasize a
dimension value within a chart or across a dashboard

Currently on Superset (version 6.1.0), if you click a dimension value in a line
chart's legend, it removes that line from the chart. If you flag the "Inv"
option (top right), it removes all lines and only shows the ones you select
from the legend.

The problem is that it's very difficult to compare against the other dimensions
when you have multiple lines in a line chart. The filter on the right side
doesn't help either, since it subsets the data instead of highlighting.

My proposal is one of two options:
**A third option at the top right** (or replacing the existing ones, since I
couldn't find much use for them), or
**A dashboard-level highlighter component**: It would work similarly to the
filter option, but instead of slicing the data it would just highlight that
dimension value across all charts.

Should I open an Issue for this? I'm new to requesting features and discussions
here, so I'd appreciate any guidance.
