Clean read-only bridge for the palette metadata. Two things to tidy before it leaves draft: codecov flags a few uncovered lines in the host colors.ts wiring, and CategoricalSchemeRegistryLike is a hand-mirrored type via an as cast that can silently drift from the real registry type if that changes; a shared type or a structural check would keep them in sync. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
