## Summary Starting with Claude Code 2.1.277, Claude Code automatically uses AGENTS.md as project instructions when a project has no CLAUDE.md. The CLAUDE.md symlink to AGENTS.md is therefore redundant, so this PR removes it and makes AGENTS.md the single agent context file that Claude Code reads directly. ## Details - Remove the CLAUDE.md symlink. - Drop the CLAUDE.md entries from .gitattributes (export-ignore) and .rat-excludes, and update the surrounding comments. - Keep GEMINI.md, since Gemini CLI still reads GEMINI.md by default. Verification: make check-license (RAT checks passed), make lint-md (no issues), and git archive HEAD now ships AGENTS.md only, with GEMINI.md still export-ignored. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
