@eschutho @betodealmeida this one had gone quiet for over a week and was badly conflicted (119+ commits behind), so I rebased it onto `master` (4 real conflicts: the splice-mode predicate collection in `apply_rls`/`rls.py` needed merging with master's own global-guest-RLS subquery_predicates work) and pushed. Also caught a couple of gaps the rebase replay didn't carry over on its own — a bool-typed return that splice mode left as `None`, and a few tests still mocking the pre-simplification `get_rls_method()` API.
