Thanks for this, the guided one-click drill path is a great addition, and the breadcrumb UX looks really nice. One concern: a per-chart hierarchy is something each author sets once and has to keep in sync by hand. If the dataset changes (columns renamed, levels added, a new chart on the same data), those paths can quietly go stale or end up inconsistent across charts. Could we make the drill path automatic instead? For example, derive it from hierarchy metadata on the dataset/semantic layer, or infer it from the data itself. Then every chart on that dataset gets the same correct path with no per-chart setup. We did something like this in XDMoD (https://github.com/ubccr/xdmod) (https://xdmod.access-ci.org/) years ago, and automatic drill-down held up much better over time than hand-configured paths. That seems to fit your open question at the end. If chart-local config ships first, maybe it could be an override on top of an automatic default rather than the only source. Happy to share more about how we approached it. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
