@aminghadersohi Thanks for the great insights and for referencing XDMoD! I completely agree that managing hierarchies at the dataset/semantic layer is the ideal long-term vision to prevent stale configurations and maintain a single source of truth across dashboards. That said, for this initial phase, I believe starting with chart-level configuration is the right step forward. It allows us to ship value quickly, validate the UX with real users, and gather feedback without introducing heavy structural changes to the dataset schema right away. Moving forward in future iterations, we can evolve this into a hybrid approach: defining default hierarchies at the dataset level while keeping chart-level settings as optional overrides.
