Thanks @eschutho for getting this started, brush-select on time axes is a nice idea. It's been sitting as a draft since December though, it now conflicts with master (the timeseries cross-filter code has moved a fair bit), pre-commit and a jest shard are red, and there are still some leftover `console.log` debug lines in the brush handler.
