I do think we need to fix the simple case in base Superset, of offering non-technical users a simple calendar picker. As far as I've seen, there is universal agreement there. Then we also should make this extensible to Elizabeth's point, so that people can then customize to their heart's content with fiscal-year pickers, etc. I think we should close this SIP in favor of https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/26651, which has had a lot of back and forth and is _really_ close. Could you please @mete-capar-kd read through that, especially at the bottom where I am going back and forth with the PR author, and see if there are any design changes you think should be made?
