GitHub user FrancescoCastaldi added a comment to the discussion: Date range badge not shown as applied in table charts - 6.1.0
In Superset 6.1.0, the applied filter badge on the chart header (`FilterIndicators` component) relies on matching dashboard `dataMask` entries against the `applied_filters` list returned by the chart query response (`queryContext.queries[0].applied_filters`). ### Why other charts show the badge but Table chart does not 1. **Temporal Column Definition:** In the Table chart plugin, temporal filters are handled differently than in time-series charts. Standard time-series charts require a primary temporal axis (`granularity_sqla`), whereas the Table chart treats temporal filtering as an adhoc filter unless a time column is explicitly selected under the dataset settings. 2. **Dataset Configuration Check:** Navigate to **Data -> Datasets**, find the dataset backing your Table chart, and click **Edit Dataset**. Under the **Columns** tab, ensure that your datetime column has the **Is temporal** checkbox enabled. If this flag is unchecked, the query builder treats the date filter as an untyped adhoc clause, which prevents the metadata resolver from linking the filter indicator back to the table chart. 3. **Time Column Mapping in Explore:** Open the Table chart in Explore. Under the **Time** section in the Data tab, confirm that the **Time Column** dropdown is populated with your date column rather than left blank. If left blank, the date filter is appended to the SQL WHERE clause correctly (which is why the data filters properly), but Superset cannot map it to the chart's visible metadata columns, omitting the badge. Once the temporal column is assigned in the chart settings, re-save the chart and the applied date range badge will appear in the chart header alongside other applied native filters.
