I'm open to more discussions about the other ideas on the thread, but I'd love to keep this discussion to the one feature proposed (not displaying the in-progress period@grain. As for the checkbox _placement,_ I'm wondering if that should be on the time range filter as proposed, or on the chart itself as a control... some charts you might want it, some you might not. I'm leaning toward the viz controls... probably right under the time grain control. Curious if others agree it should be a chart setting, rather than a dashboard setting, filter setting, or (worst option) a user preference.
