There’s another truthiness check worth tracking alongside this: `useInitialization()` in `FilterBar/state.ts` treats any truthy `requiredFirst` as sufficient to initialize the filter bar immediately, bypassing its normal wait for charts to load. So `{}` also affects initialization timing, independently of the premature Apply behavior you identified. A test isolating non-boolean `requiredFirst` should avoid triggering that branch.
