I spoke to @etr2460 this morning and we were able to determine that it's a combination of the [recent activity api](https://github.com/apache/incubator-superset/blob/86651cd451a29335b5e9aee6600c831074a510ed/superset/views/core.py#L1197) being very slow and the loading state for the entire page [depending on that api request](https://github.com/apache/incubator-superset/blob/86651cd451a29335b5e9aee6600c831074a510ed/superset-frontend/src/views/CRUD/welcome/Welcome.tsx#L125) ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
