I get your point, and I think that this should be discussed more. To explain further, this PR was made to document an issue I found and the potential fix (after discussing with other committers beforehand, the same conclusion was reached for further discussion). If it is preferred, I can close this pr and open a discussion topic/draft pr for user/committer input. I'm also not a committer, so I do not know the process for starting a vote (if there is a wiki or a way to start this process, please let me know, and I can follow the correct steps). There should also be no operator that runs only on older Python versions, since the tests themselves don't support other Python versions (the Python 3.12 test only runs on Ubuntu Python 3.12). The only difference is that the maximum supported library version changes, but it does not change the output or the libraries used.
