Two bookkeeping points before this merges: 1. The description still says `Closes #8028`, whose title is "…entry points, remember the computing unit, **and turn it on**". With the flip moved to #8528, merging this closes an issue that is one third undone and ticks the last box on #8011 while the feature is still off — and #8528 is a PR with no issue of its own, so nothing on the parent tracks the flip. Moving `Closes #8028` to #8528 (this one "Part of #8028"), or adding #8528 to the #8011 list, keeps the tracking honest. 2. The metadata-edit-during-hand-over case (thread on `menu.component.ts:231`) was deferred to a `WorkflowPersistService` item — agreed on the direction, but I could not find that item filed yet.
