Some AI assistants append a session or conversation URL to every commit message and PR body by default — `Claude-Session:`, `https://claude.ai/code/session_…`, `https://chatgpt.com/c/…` and equivalents. Such a link does not belong in this project's history: - it is **permanent** once it reaches git, and a force-push does not undo it — the superseded commit stays reachable by SHA; - it means nothing to a reviewer, who cannot open it; - it can point at material that is **not public**, including work still under embargo per §6. §4 already says what attribution belongs in a trailer block. This says what does not, and §8's pre-PR checklist gains the matching line. The convention in this repository's history is already the attribution line alone — 45+ AI-assisted commits on master carry `Co-authored-by:` and none carry a session link — so this documents existing practice rather than changing it. Docs only; no code is touched. Prior AGENTS.md changes have gone in without a JIRA ticket (`59fc4113e`, `bcd91a392`, `a1d117afb`), so no ticket here either — and those also used `[skip ci]`, which would be reasonable on merge for a markdown-only change. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
