Sylwester Lachiewicz closed THRIFT-3945.
----------------------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

The contrib thrift-maven-plugin was removed in THRIFT-6196, so there is no
plugin left to document. It was never published to Maven Central, was not part
of the release build or test procedures, and only shelled out to an externally
installed thrift binary.

lib/java/README.md now documents the supported path: generate Java sources with
exec-maven-plugin in the generate-sources phase and register the output
directory with build-helper-maven-plugin.

Closing as Won't Fix. A maintained, published plugin would be a new issue and
would need an owner.

> The thrift-maven-plugin contrib module needs documentation. The project
> should generate and publish maven-site-plugin style plugin documentation, so
> users can learn how to properly use the plugin's goals and configuration
> options.
> (Also, a JIRA component should be created for the thrift-maven-plugin, so
> that issues related to the plugin can be quickly found by component in JIRA.
> I also recommend moving it to its own git repository, to make it easier to
> improve the plugin between THRIFT releases.)
